The GDPR replaces the current privacy law (the Data Protection Act 1998) and introduces new rights for people to access the information businesses hold about them, obligations for better data management, and a new regime of fines.
What is personal data?
This hasn’t changed. Any information that directly or indirectly could identify an individual is personal data. This includes information, such as names, addresses, phone numbers, date of birth, as well as IP addresses, financial information, social media information, etc.
Why does GDPR apply to us?
